I'd like to send a big thankyou to everyone who came out to Queen Elizabeth Hall last night. The gig was fantastic! There was a full house as we opened for the talented Canadian vocalist, Nikki Yanofsky. I performed with Reuben James on piano and Alex Davis on doubleass, both playing an incredible set. The atmosphere felt intimate, as if we were right at home. I'm sure I can speak for the other guys when I say, "Man, that was fun!" Check out these photographs by Ben Amure.

Poor Man by Sheila Maurice-Grey

 I'm in Manchester getting ready to play as a guest with bassist, Alex Davis. His band is called The Soapbox Trio with Joost on drums and Allister on piano. It's a beautiful evening for some jazz. Tonight, we'll play Coltrane's version of My Favourite Things, Wayne Shorter's Black Nile, and Ornette Coleman's Turnaround among other great songs. I'm excited about this one. If you are in Manchester tonight, we start at 10pm.

Just want to thank everyone who came out to Pizza Express to watch and listen to the new band perform PHILIPPA, new music based on the mix raced prodigy pianist and composer from Harlem, Philippa Duke Schuyler.
